It’s a custom-engineered solution that addresses the critical issue of flexure in an astrophotography imaging train. Flexure, which is the subtle bending of components under the weight of a heavy camera and accessories, can cause stars to appear elongated or distorted in your final image. The Photon Cage mitigates this by creating a rigid, lightweight framework that securely holds the camera, filter wheels, rotators, and other components in a single, stable unit.
