NGC 2244 Rosette Nebula
NGC 2244 Rosette Nebula
I was really happy with how this turned out as it was my first ever target when I started Astrophotography. This is a culmination of lots of work on the RASA and custom building M68 mounts, filter sliders, and tilt/backfocus hardware to achieve good results with a full frame camera. At f2.2 it is a challenge for sure.
I was really impressed with the results here of the Astronomik MaxFR 50x50mm square Ha, Oiii, Sii 6nm filter set which produced some really good data. This was my first images taken with this newer filter set. This was processed in PixInsight to do general linear work and noise removal and color enhancing was done in Photoshop.
