SH2 240 Spaghetti Nebula
SH2 240 Spaghetti Nebula
The Spaghetti Nebula sits in the horns of Taurus the bull. It was only discovered 70 years ago and is a supernova remnant. It covers nearly 6 moons across in a 3 degree spread across the sky, so it’s large and full of hydrogen with faint oxygen whisps in it. It is considred 40,000 years old and this light is about 3000 years old. Because it went supernova, there is a neutron star spinning fast in the core of this.
