The ASG Standard Filter Slider Systems are designed to bolt specifically to the ASG Photon Cage system. The design of our filter slider is thin and designed to work with ASI small body cameras and a RASA 8, but can work equally well on a RASA 11 or refractor/SCT with more backspacing. The filter sliders are magnetic and available in both 3D print versions as well as CNC machined depending on your need.
This standard filter slider holder works with our 2" standard filter sliders which are an economical solution over our larger PRO M68 filter slider system. If you plan to use 2" filter sliders, this is the most economical and best fit solution. If you do plan to use 50x50, 50mm round, or may in the future, our PRO M68 filter slider system may be for you.
The Filter Assembly will come with 5 machined screws for the mounting to the Photon Cage. You will also need a baseplate, designed in M42, M48, or M54 threads to mount to the bottom of the unit and to the telescope optics at that point. The Filter Holder comes with pre-installed magnets for your filter sliders to secure to.
We offer filter slider boxes, combos, as well as laser engraved options for our CNC sliders. The filter holder takes up 11mm of backspacing and the baseplate will take up 3mm of backspacing for a total of 14mm of backspacing when added to your ASG Photon Cage.

This product is CNC machined and anodized black and comes with 68mm internal 1mm pitch threads on the baseplate. It will bolt directly to your ASG Photon Cage and will take up a total of 14mm of backfocus. The holder is 11mm thick and the baseplater is 3mm thick. We also provide a full 3D printed light cover system that will magnetically open/close and cover the entire filter slider system from light leaks.
Compatibility
This part is designed to bolt directly to your ASG Photon Cage. The filter sliders you will use are the standard 2" round mounted filters with this system. This is our most economical but professionally designed CNC or 3D printed slider system and our most popular solution.
